Every skill I acquired this year was through my apprenticeship at the GAN. I have gained knowledge regarding the framework of youth labor insertion, and I am very interested in the field; this has solidified my career choice. As a team . . . we have worked together toward every step GAN Argentina has taken since its launch and we are very proud of our achievements.
When I finished mandatory school at 15 and walked out of those doors for the last time, I thought my love of sports would define my career. At that time, studying wasn’t what I wanted to spend time on. And so, I started an apprentice job in a small Swiss bank… As Chairman of the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce, board member of GAN Global and head of Switzerland’s largest bank, I know the value of apprenticeships to Swiss business.

Apprenticeships and work-based training are the building blocks of generations to come; we cannot fail them.

I believe that what contributed most to my relationship with the young people was knowing that they could see that the person acting as their tutor had also received specific training to support them responsibly.
During my apprenticeship, I learned a lot, gained real hands-on experience, and built a solid foundation for my professional journey.
It’s not just about learning the ins and outs of an incredible business but also about connecting with fantastic people, leaders, and teams. This experience has truly impacted my professional journey.

Doing an apprenticeship at Nestlé means growing not only professionally but also personally. It is about learning to set goals, chart a path for growth, and turn dreams into reality.

As an electrical mechanical engineering student, Nestlé gives me the opportunity to grow professionally and entrepreneurially.

Nestlé’s brand, to me, means home. I have learned so much from communicating my ideas and having them accepted and considered for application in processes is the most enriching experience I have gained.

Being immersed in different working areas during my apprenticeship has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of how industries operate and how Microsoft is working with customers to transform their businesses.

I chose to do an apprenticeship as it offers a more hands-on approach to learning, allowing me to gain practical experience in the technical field while also earning a wage.

As a recruiter who was part of the apprenticeship program, I have a larger and more extensive network because I’ve helped people throughout the hiring process. This opportunity really changed my life. I gained knowledge and experience, and now I am in a career that I enjoy.

We know that apprentices are successful – we’ve hired an overwhelming majority of individuals who completed the program into ongoing roles at Accenture, and program graduates have high retention as they stay to grow their careers.

The program opened a door for me at a time when I really needed it. It provided me with an excellent career opportunity, along with all the tools that anyone needs to be successful at work.

Joining as a work-study student allowed me to pursue my studies as well as take on an apprenticeship. I have seized opportunities to take on new roles, contributed to the growth of the agency and furthered my leadership journey.

I engaged in two years of intensive work-study, encompassing diverse roles that lasted six months each. I have honed my leadership skills and contributed to the operational excellence of my workplace.

The moment I stumbled upon the Adecco IESEG School of Management work-study program, I knew it was exactly what I needed, prompting me to switch schools to seize this opportunity wholeheartedly. I have continued to thrive in various roles ever since.

My experiences during my commercial apprenticeship have been incredibly inspiring and make me proud to be able to complete an apprenticeship at Bühler.

Apprenticeship programs provide a clear pathway to higher-level employment and can lead to stable and well-paying careers. I have the opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals in their field.

As an apprentice, I can grow both professionally and personally. It’s amazing to dive into the cosmetics industry in such an international environment and to be able to contribute autonomously to impactful projects.

During my apprenticeship, working with people who have a lot of experience in project supply chains that have a global impact is an excellent on-the-go learning experience which is hard to come by.

Doing an apprenticeship is like attending two different schools. You are consistently learning by blending theory with practical experience in the field. It is the best approach to developing your soft skills and preparing yourself for corporate life.
