Adopt A Grandfather
Alberto Cabanes (Ciudad Real, 1988) has a Degree in Administration and Business Management from the CEU San Pablo University with a Master in Accounting from ICADE. He started working at a very young age at a warehouse and soon moved onto summer scholarships in Human Resources and retail banking. He also did an Erasmus at the University of Lund (Sweden). After finishing his university studies in 2013 he joined the prestigious consultancy firm KPMG. In 2016 he left his job as team leader to fully focus on his start up Adopt A Grandfather.After two intense years, he has managed to implement the initiative in 50 cities in Spain and Portugal and launch an App. He has earned more than 20 awards in Social Innovation and as an international social entrepreneur in Europe and the US. In 2017 he was included in the Forbes 30Under30 list and in 2018 as a Global Fellow of the International Youth Foundation. He has currently created 5 jobs that coordinate 1,000 volunteers, 35 ambassadors (coordinators) and has earned € 250,000 of investment.
