Date 2023 – The Global Apprenticeship Network (GAN) and the Swiss Federal University for Vocational Education and Training SFUVET are pleased to announce their new partnership aimed at further promoting international cooperation in vocational and professional education and training. GAN will work closely with SFUVET to promote and implement dual VET within international companies in Switzerland and abroad. Together, the two institutions will share knowledge and best practices related to vocational and dual education, apprenticeship development, and skills development within and across GAN networks and country partners as well as in the countries where both organizations are active.
SFUVET is the leading higher education institution in vocational education and training in Switzerland, specializing in the education and training of VET teachers, VET research, the development of occupations, and implementation programs in the area.[1] With its commitment to the future of VET, SFUVET supports Switzerland’s renowned dual-track apprenticeship system, which seamlessly integrates classroom learning with practical on-the-job training.

Together, GAN Global and SFUVET will identify emerging skills needs through research, ensure apprenticeship programs have access to all the necessary information for sustainability within changing industry demands, foster innovation in the field of apprenticeships, and advocate for favourable policies and frameworks that drive apprenticeship engagement and investment.
